The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to work under the newly formed Transformative partnership platform (TPP)– Nutri-scapes. Nutri-scapes is seeking interested young researchers from the nutrition or social science fields that want to contribute to the goals of the platform. If you have an idea for a small research project that would contribute to the goals of the platform to solve nutrition challenges in developing countries, please submit a short proposal outlining the idea, the proposed timeline and the required budget up to approximately USD 3,000. The proposal should not exceed 2 pages.
The funds can be used for; a stipend at an approved rate, research costs, field work (where possible), medical and accident insurances, any other costs depending on the type of project proposed.

KAFP offers the opportunity to further develop skills and knowledge to contribute to socio-economic development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in South Africa. The programme is targeted at early career professional women and men in South Africa, with leadership potential. In particular, the KAFP aims to support students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue Master’s level education in Ireland. In 2021, fellowships will be offered for postgraduate study in: Agriculture, Environmental Science, Conservation, Rural Development; Food Science, Food Engineering and related etc.

WorldVeg is seeking a highly experienced ‘Project Manager’ to manage a 5-year project entitled ‘Safe locally produced vegetables for West Africa’s consumers’ (SAFEVEG) and provide leadership to activities related to strengthening of vegetable business networks. SAFEVEG is funded by the European Union and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is expected to commence during the last quarter of 2020. The position will be based at WorldVeg’s regional center for West and Central Africa – Coastal and Humid Regions in Cotonou, Benin and report to the Regional Director.
